You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes while utilizing advanced clinical skills and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake, vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Prescribe medications, and manage treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements. Perform diagnostic evaluations such as interpreting laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests like ECGs or radiology reports. Manage acute pain, critical care situations within hospital or emergency environments. Document patient encounters accurately in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security. Assist in procedures including suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and other minor surgical interventions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties—such as internal medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), ICU teams—and participate in clinical research or trials to advance medical knowledge. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure. Demonstrated experience in office medicine, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care (ICU), or urgent care settings; Level I & II trauma center experience is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; strong understanding of
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding and CPT coding for billing purposes. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to acute and chronic care management. Ability to perform physical examinations thoroughly and interpret diagnostic tests accurately for effective client communication and treatment planning. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams; experience in telehealth is a plus.
