Whether providing primary care, managing acute or chronic conditions, or supporting specialized services such as gastroenterology or critical care, your expertise will help improve health outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine diagnosis and treatment needs. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records management, and billing purposes including CPT coding. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Skills Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data management. Skilled in performing specialized procedures. Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication administration and drug interactions; familiar with DEA regulations for prescribing controlled substances. Ability to perform triage assessments in urgent care efficiently while maintaining calm under pressure. Excellent client communication skills; capable of providing health coaching and education tailored to individual needs across outpatient clinics or telehealth platforms. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology fundamentals, CPT coding for procedures/services, ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-9/10), and documentation standards aligned with NCQA standards.
