Aspirus Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthopedics Advanced Practice Provider to help grow our orthopedic program in Iron River, Michigan.
OPPORTUNITY
: Full-time position with no call requirements. Care for patients of all ages, providing full-spectrum, whole-body general orthopedic care. Provide comprehensive care across the continuum, including pre-operative and post-operative management. Manage a broad range of orthopedic conditions with a high degree of clinical autonomy and independence. Perform in-clinic procedures such as splinting, casting, and joint injections. Provide wound care management (must have or obtain wound care certification), working closely alongside wound-certified nurses. Candidate must be resourceful and comfortable working in an independent practice environment. Supported by a regional orthopedic team to ensure collaboration, consultation, and continuity of care. Prefer prior orthopedic experience

The outpatient part of this practice is located in a stand-alone clinic. This allows the provider to work independently yet have the specialist support and financial security from the entire Aspirus health care system. The critical access hospital has an average daily census of 9-10 patients. The hospital and clinics provide numerous services and has up to date technology, including a 64 slice CT and a mobile MRI. The medical staff includes family practitioners, internal medicine, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, radiologist, emergency medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
