Trauma/General Surgery in Midland, MI Midland, Michigan Provider/APP 6a-6p Regular Full-Time Day Shift Trauma - Midland 46240 Job Description Summary MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Trauma and General Surgery Team in Midland, Michigan! Full time, day shift Rotating 12-hour shifts 7 days a week coverage, distributed amongst APPs within the group 100% inpatient (no clinic responsibilities) Responsibilities Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients Certifications and Licensures AHA approved BLS Certification AHA approved ACLS Certification ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation Required Education Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered Other Information Employment is contingent on successful completion of MyMichigan Health's credentialing process Robust onboarding and training program For more information, please contact Elizabeth Christensen by email elizabeth.christensen@mymichigan.org
