We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care through collaboration with healthcare professionals, utilizing advanced clinical skills, and managing complex cases. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems, medication management, and a broad range of medical procedures, ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Perform thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status to establish accurate diagnoses. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices. Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, adhering to DEA regulations and institutional policies. Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for comprehensive documentation and medical records management. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, imaging interpretation, and point-of-care testing such as sonography or spinal taps. Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care. Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care across various departments such as critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, or emergency medicine. Manage acute and chronic conditions including pain management, infectious diseases, hospice & palliative medicine, and senior care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes. Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, IV insertions, dermal fillers, Botox treatments (botulinum toxin), or esthetic laser treatments when applicable. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited body. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/CCU units, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-10/ICD-9 systems. Experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and data management. Demonstrated proficiency in performing physical examinations and diagnostic assessments across pediatric to geriatric populations. Familiarity with advanced procedures such as spinal taps, catheterization techniques (urinary or vascular), ventilator management, tube feeding protocols, and sterile processing techniques. Ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management, occupational health issues like Workers' Compensation law compliance or infectious disease care. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times; experience in telehealth is preferred but not mandatory.
