Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse range of clinical settings, including primary care, urgent care, specialty clinics, and inpatient units. Your expertise will support comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals across various disciplines, utilizing your extensive clinical skills to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage complex cases involving critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or specialty areas such as gastroenterology or behavioral health. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and sterile processing techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and medical records management. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from a recognized certifying body (e.g., NCCPA or state licensing board). Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU/critical care units, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques such as sonography or laboratory testing. Experience with advanced procedures like airway management, ventilator support, cardiac catheterization assistance or gastrostomy tube feeding is preferred. Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), HIPAA compliance and DEA regulations for medication prescribing. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess vital signs accurately and deliver clear patient education. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable.
