Emergency Medicine Detroit Lakes, MN Essentia Health St. Mary's - Detroit Lakes is seeking a practitioner (physician assistant or nurse practitioner) interested in a full-time Emergency Medicine position. Our team-oriented and fast-paced ED provider group consists of board-certified physicians and advanced practice clinicians who collaborate to provide patient-centric care to the area. With easy access to the great outdoors and lake life, this position offers excellent flexibility and career fulfillment to anyone seeking an outstanding work/life balance. 0.9 FTE, Part time status Emergency Medicine coverage will be 8 and 12-hour shifts (64 hours/pay period) rotated in among our other provider schedules Campus supports primary and several specialty care services in the clinic (including a very busy Urgent Care) with the hospital side including a women's/birthing center, MSP, ICU, OR, 24-hour CRNA services, imaging services including CT, MRI and digital mammography and laboratory services Level III Trauma designation - requires certification in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS within six months of start Holiday and weekend rotations Candidates must be able to see patients of all ages The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills; the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, promoting health and preventing disease. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, as noted in age-related categories and areas of expertise. The position requires high customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Master's or Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution. Previous Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience is preferred ! Must be able to see patients of all ages.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state (if NP). Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process before practice. Must be able to see patients of all ages.
