Full Job Description Site Overview:
Sama Healthcare is a primary and urgent care clinic that caters to an ethnically diverse patient population.
Summary:
The Family Practice Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for taking care of patients immediate and overall health needs. Nurse Practitioner will work in conjunction with the Clinic Management in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Job Type :
Part-time, 2-3 days/week
Work Hours:
Monday

Friday:
12 pm to 6 pm;
Saturday:
11 am
- 5 pm
Essential Functions:
- Obtain medical, social and developmental histories
- Perform physical exams
- Review immunization status and order immunizations
- Initiate laboratory exams as needed
- Provide health education and counseling
- Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times
- Consult with and refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients
- Management of services in accordance with established Clinic's policies and contracted services under Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines
- Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations
- Provide case management with other health care team members
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- Certified in Family Practice
- Active DEA License
- Current BLS Certification / CPR Card (Adult, Child and Infant)
- Excellent Patient Service
- Knowledge of EHR software and Word Processing software
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience in a walk-in primary or urgent care clinic setting
- Ability to work with culturally diverse families and communities
