We'd love to talk if you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and connection to a vibrant community. We are hiring for a Part-Time Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager. As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront. Excellent subspecialty support.
Qualifications:
Nurse practitioner board certification required. Acute Care Training Strongly preferred. Prior hospitalist inpatient preferred. For a new grad NP, experience as an inpatient RN within the ICU or acute care settings is ideal. Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month. Block schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts. We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas. The population we serve is very ill.
