Job Description Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our hospital medicine team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care during overnight shifts in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. At Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center , you'll be part of Community Health Systems , a national network of regional hospitals with a shared mission to deliver high-quality care where it's needed most — close to home. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours Conduct patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning Manage admissions, consultations, and cross-coverage responsibilities Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation Participate in patient care coordination and handoff communication Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality initiatives Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current Missouri NP license or eligibility for licensure Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Prior experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently in an overnight hospital setting Schedule Full-time nocturnist position Overnight shifts Flexible scheduling options may be available
