- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage medically complex inpatient populations
- Care for patients with tracheostomies, ventilator dependence, complex wounds, and multiple chronic conditions
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition while managing patients in place whenever appropriate
- Collaborate daily with physicians and hospitalist teams
- Participate in weekend rotation coverage
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices

- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification
- Eligible for Missouri or Kansas licensure, as applicable
- Minimum of 3-5 years of acute inpatient hospital experience
- Ability to practice independently while collaborating effectively with physicians
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience managing medically complex patients Preferred
- Experience in post-acute care, LTACH, inpatient rehabilitation, or hospital medicine
- Ventilator management experience
- Tracheostomy care experience
- Complex wound management experience
