Job Description

Provides professional nursing care to clients of University Health Center in an advanced practice role consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and the Code of State Regulations-General Rules governing Advanced Practice Nursing in the State of Missouri. Delivers primary, acute, preventive, sexual, and reproductive health care services in a college health setting. Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, health education, contraception counseling, family planning, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, pregnancy testing and options counseling, and appropriate follow-up or referral as indicated. Ensures that care is provided in a confidential, supportive, inclusive, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental manner. Serves as clinical preceptor for Advanced Practice Nurses as requested. Serves as a member of the clinical leadership team, performing administrative duties as requested. Delivers Advanced Practice Clinical Care in a College Health Setting - 90% Provides professional nursing care to clients of University Health Center in an advanced practice role consistent with The Missouri Nurse Practice Act and the Code of State Regulations-General Rules governing Advanced Practice Nursing, in the State of Missouri. Clinical Education and Leadership Support - 10%
Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner required.
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in general nursing practice preferred, which may be concurrent with ambulatory care experience. One (1) year of experience in an ambulatory care setting in an advanced practice role is preferred. Experience in college health, urgent care, primary care, women's health, adolescent/young adult health, or public health preferred.
Physical/Environmental Factors:
Possible exposure to infectious and communicable diseases. This is a part time position working 32 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters and limited but as needed hours during the Summer semester. This position does not work when students are not on campus.
