Job Description
Description Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH) is in search of a highly motivated and independent women's health practitioner to provide full scope services including gynecologic examinations, contraceptive counseling, LARC management, prenatal and postpartum care, menopause care and STI screening and treatment. AMH is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Western North Carolina. Our five primary clinics, supported by mobile teams and strategic mini clinics, serve the most vulnerable patients in Asheville and the western region of the state; we provide care regardless of a patient's ability to pay. As a women's health provider at our Leicester and Asheville clinics, you will work collaboratively with our other providers to serve patients with wraparound care including primary care, behavioral health services, dentistry, pediatrics, and pharmacy services. As AMH continues to grow, so too does our team of women's health providers. In this role, you'll serve as the women's health expert in our Leicester and Asheville clinics, helping ensure our patients have access to high quality obstetric and gynecologic services. Requirements Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered North Carolina PA-C or NP license
- CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently
- High degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision making to achieve AMH's mission. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- LARC management - demonstrated proficiency in placement and removal of all currently available IUD and implants
- Point of care ultrasound training
- Bilingual a plus
