Job Description
Description UNC Health Medical Group is presently seeking a part-time Family Medicine APP to join our network at UNC Family Medicine Poyner Place! UNC Family Medicine at Poyner Place is a full-service family practice conveniently located off I-540, near Triangle Town Center treating both children and adults.

All day Monday and Friday Afternoon Tuesday or Wednesday (Providers Choice)Responsibilities:
Provide professional medical services to patients, adolescent and older Exercise independent professional judgement in the care and treatment of patients Order and prescribe medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health/medical services Prescribe medically appropriate pharmaceuticals Consult and counsel patients and families Provide health and medical education to patients and families Refer patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other healthcare professionals to assure multidisciplinary care is provided Document medical and clinical care in the patient's medical record Assign the appropriate diagnosis and procedural codes to permit third party insurance billing Adhere to the principles of medical ethicsJob Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program 2-plus years of experience NC State License preferred UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG) includes primary care providers, as well as physicians in a wide range of specialties and sub-specialties. Education Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Demonstrated clinical competency.
- Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
- Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
- Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
