We are seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to provide high-quality patient care, manage chronic conditions, and support specialty treatments. Rao Clinic is seeking one skilled NPs/PAs to join our interdisciplinary team. Candidates with experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply. The APPs will play a key role in patient evaluations, medical management, and coordination of care, working closely with physicians and staff to deliver comprehensive treatment. Duties
  • Provide direct patient care including physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan
  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state scope of practice and collaborative agreement
  • Provide preventive care, including wellness visits, screenings, and immunizations
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
  • Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physicians and the broader care team
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive health
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, chart audits, and peer review processes as requested.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all applicable Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Complete required continuing education, licensure renewal, and competency training in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Perform other clinically related duties as assigned.
Requirements Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain) Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program DEA license (or eligibility) Prior experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
