Nurse Practitioner - Substance Use Recovery & Behavioral Health Priority Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team serving individuals on their journey toward recovery from substance use. Our program provides counseling, emotional support, and recovery-focused services in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Position Overview The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care to individuals receiving substance use recovery services. This role works closely with our counseling and support team to address each person's physical and behavioral health needs as part of a comprehensive approach to recovery. Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments, medical evaluations, and follow-up visits. Develop and manage individualized treatment plans. Provide ongoing care and support for individuals affected by substance use. Monitor patients' physical and behavioral health needs. Coordinate care with counselors, support staff, and other healthcare providers. Educate patients about medications, treatment options, wellness, and recovery. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Promote a respectful, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental environment. Recognize changes in patient needs and coordinate appropriate referrals or additional services when necessary. Support a team-based approach to helping patients achieve stability and long-term recovery. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license and eligibility to practice in the state. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Experience in substance use treatment, behavioral health, primary care, or a related setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
