Job Description
Overview of First Care Medical Clinic For over three decades, First Care Medical Clinic has been a leader in patient-centered primary care across North and South Carolina. With seven clinics, telehealth services, and convenient hours from Monday to Saturday, we are dedicated to closing gaps in healthcare by providing comprehensive, coordinated care. Our services range from internal medicine and pediatrics to psychiatric counseling and on-site diagnostic evaluations. Our long-standing commitment is to serve our patients with exceptional care, and we are always looking for innovative ways to improve. Our Core Belief At First Care Medical Clinic, we believe that the patient is the most important person. We are here to serve the patient. We see ourselves as public servants, and without the patient, our practice does not exist. Patients do not have to come to First Care Medical Clinic. Patients choose us from many options, and it is a privilege to provide their care. This understanding is what guides our work ethic daily. We have a foundational belief that there is no such thing as "patient non-compliance." When a patient faces challenges with a treatment plan, we look inward first to assess whether we have been compliant. It is our professional duty to be compliant in our approach—to listen, to educate, to engage, and to adapt our care to meet the patient where they are. Our role is to identify and resolve any communication gaps or social barriers. Our success is measured by the patient's well-being, and we hold ourselves accountable for it. Position Overview First Care Medical Clinic has a unique approach to patient-centered care. Given this, we are not hiring for skills or experience. Instead, we are focused on hiring people with a specific disposition. With our unique model, we know we will have to train people in-house and develop them. We do not want people who are seeking to just replicate their past experiences. Instead, we want people who will take a "blank slate" approach and commit themselves to learning the "First Care" way. Because of this, we welcome NPs and PAs of any experience level, and we take responsibility for training and developing all new hires. At the same time, new hires are expected to take responsibility for their own development as well and to take time to practice and master all of First Care Medical Clinic's protocols. First Care Medical Clinic is recruiting a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices as part of its primary care practice. As an Advanced Practice Provider at First Care Medical Clinic, you will be the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. Job responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients' health. You will serve patients as both health practitioner and health educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. In this role, you will gain experience in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, occupational medicine, and urgent care. At First Care Medical Clinic, Advanced Practice Providers work closely with other healthcare professionals, so we seek people with a strong team spirit and positive attitude.
