POSITION
Nurse Practitioner (NP). Part-time or full-time providing clinical services within the scope of primary care practice and applicable state/federal regulations. Seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to rural population. Office visit types include physicals/wellness visits, follow-ups, same-day visits as applicable, and new patient visits. One year of prior nursing/nurse practitioner experience preferred. A NC NP license, NPI and DEA license are needed prior to starting.
Employment Area:
Sylva, North Carolina. Sylva is a charming mountain town located near Western Carolina University. This beautiful area offers an exceptional quality of life with abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation including hiking, kayaking, fishing and exploring the scenic Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. 2.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE
Standard office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Fridays 8:30AM-3PM.
Typical visit lengths:
Follow-ups/standard visits-15mins, physicals/wellness visits and new patient visits-30mins. The last scheduled morning patient is 11:45AM (or 11:30 AM for physicals). Afternoon patient visits end at 4:00 PM. Time is reserved from 4pm-5pm for documentation and administrative duties. No clinical patient care should be performed after 5:00 PM. After hours calls are covered by the physician on the exception of special circumstances. 3.
EXPECTATION
The expectation is to see at least 15 patients per day targeting good workflow and integration. NP will be evaluated for documentation, billing, likability/ability to integrate, and the ability to create a good patient panel. Intention to stay at employer for at least 2 years.
Intended pathway:
permanent employment (part-time available also) . NP will have the opportunity to expand knowledge in integrative care, esthetics, and hormone replacement therapy. 4.
OVERTIME POLICY
Overtime is not authorized unless pre-approved in writing by the practice. All duties are expected to be completed within scheduled hours unless otherwise agreed in writing. 5.
CONFIDENTIALITY
NP agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information, business operations, and proprietary systems. 6.
NON-SOLICITATION
During employment and for 24 months following termination, NP shall not directly or indirectly solicit patients, employees, or contractors of the Practice for competing services. 7.
NON-DISPARAGEMENT
NP agrees not to make false or disparaging statements about the Practice, its staff, or operations during and after employment. Malpractice insurance covered by the physician. $500/year CME allowance. Will cover 50% of DEA Renewal after initial employment.

Primary Care:
1 year (preferred) Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 for documentation accuracy.
Additional Duties:
Utilize EHR(Athena) to document patient encounters timely and meticulously Provide telehealth consultations to extend access to care remotely while maintaining high standards of patient engagement. Follow our ACO standards/guidelines and requirements for ongoing patient engagement and quality of care
License/Certification:
