In this role, you will serve as an advanced practice provider, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients. Your expertise will support comprehensive care delivery, including acute and chronic conditions, preventive health, and specialized treatments. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to determine health status and formulate treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe medication management. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and spinal taps to provide comprehensive care. Manage acute pain cases and participate in pain management programs utilizing therapies like botulinum toxin treatment when appropriate. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for accurate medical documentation, order entry, and patient record management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties including gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, infectious disease care, and emergency medicine to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your state of practice. Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, urgent care, primary care, or specialty clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth or Cerner; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (including sonography), and pharmacology. Experience performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and tube feeding management. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure highly desirable; familiarity with acute care protocols is essential. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, seniors requiring memory or dementia care, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate billing documentation; understanding of Workers' Compensation law and HIPAA compliance is required.
