Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an advanced practice provider to grow professionally in a semi-independent "practice within a practice" model. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to our patients, utilizing a blend of your clinical skills, surgical expertise, and patient education. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in general and vascular surgery and will thrive in an environment that encourages autonomy, growth, and excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
Consultations & Patient Care :
Assess and manage patients with general and vascular surgical conditions, providing a high level of care across all stages of treatment.
Surgical Assistance :
Assist in surgeries, supporting the lead surgeon in various procedures.
Diagnosis & Treatment :
Develop treatment plans, analyze and interpret diagnostic imaging, lab results, and medical histories.
Prescribe Medications & Therapies :
Manage prescriptions, order appropriate therapy, and follow up with patients to ensure their treatment plans are on track.
Clinical Autonomy :
Function with significant independence, making informed decisions while collaborating with the physician on patient management.
Patient Education :
Educate patients on their conditions, surgical options, and preventative care, enhancing patient understanding and outcomes.
Practice Development :
Engage in professional networking, practice development, and physician/patient education activities to promote practice growth and visibility.
Requirements :
Education :
Master's of Science in Nursing (Required)
Experience :
Minimum of 1-year experience with EMR systems (Preferred) Previous experience in general and vascular surgery settings (Required)
Licensure/Certification :
Nurse Practitioner License (Required)
