Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Department of Psychiatry, in a unique collaboration with the State of New Hampshire, seeks a Per Diem General Medical Advanced Practice Provider to be based primarily at New Hampshire Hospital, our affiliated state psychiatric facility, located in Concord, NH. In this role, you will join a Medical Staff comprised of primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, responsible for the diagnosis and management of co-morbid medical problems among psychiatric patients. There are opportunities to become involved in research, including services research focused on the development of innovative models for the delivery of mental health care. We provide acute, inpatient psychiatric services for adults and the elderly who need active treatment and other essential supports within a continuum of community-based care. Specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services are provided for 2000 patients each year, keeping our 168 beds full. Half of hospital patients are discharged within ten days. Approximately 600 staff includes board certified psychiatrists, general medical services, specialized nursing, allied clinical, administrative and support personnel. • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
• National specialty certification as FNP, PNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, WHNP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required Licensure/Certifications
