Job Description
Schedule On-site availability:
One (1) day per week or every other week Preferred clinic days:Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday Hours:
9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (once weekly schedule) 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (every other week schedule) Essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adult patients as appropriate. Diagnose and treat psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members. Provide medication evaluation, management, monitoring, and patient/family education. Prescribe psychiatric medications, including controlled substances and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. Monitor treatment response and adjust medications as clinically indicated. Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, schools, community agencies, and other behavioral health professionals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record. Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation and treatment planning. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards of care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain all required licensure and continuing education. Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Current New Jersey APN and RN licenses in good standing. National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). DEA registration and CDS license (or ability to obtain). Experience treating children and adolescents is required. Experience working with patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions is required. Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an outpatient community behavioral health setting. Experience providing trauma-informed care. Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams. Why Join CFG Health Network?
