Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and extensive medical knowledge. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes, manage acute and chronic conditions, and provide holistic care tailored to each patient's unique needs. Duties Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized treatment plans. Prescribe medications, including controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations, and manage medication administration. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and seamless communication. Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care, gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, or hospice & palliative medicine based on your expertise. Assist with procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and sterile processing techniques. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal health outcomes. Participate in clinical research initiatives and utilize advanced physiology knowledge for diagnostic evaluation and treatment strategies. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative practice agreements. Proven experience working across multiple settings such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/Level I & II trauma centers, outpatient clinics, or nursing homes. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for medical documentation and patient management. Strong background in acute care experience including ventilator management, airway management, dialysis support, and infection control protocols. Expertise in diverse medical procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, sterile technique, and specimen collection/processing. Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation. Experience working with special populations including pediatrics (children & neonates), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), individuals with developmental disabilities or complex chronic conditions. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to educate patients on health coaching strategies and treatment plans effectively.
