Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/FNP) or Physician Assistant (CAQ-Psy) 1099 Independent Contractor Inpatient Substance Use Detox & Residential Facility New Jersey | In-Person Only We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (dual-certified
PMHNP/FNP
) or Physician Assistant with CAQ-Psy certification to join our clinical team at an inpatient Substance use detox and residential treatment facility This is an on-site, in-person role providing direct patient care in a structured residential setting. Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments upon admission Perform physical exams and ongoing clinical evaluations Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans Prescribe and manage detox tapers and psychotropic medications Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects Review and interpret labs and diagnostic results Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary treatment teams Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination Complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations Qualifications
PMHNP/FNP
dual certification required OR Physician Assistant with active CAQ-Psy certification Active, unrestricted New Jersey license and DEA Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient or residential behavioral health preferred Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
