Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will serve as a primary and specialized care provider, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through comprehensive evaluations, innovative treatment plans, and patient education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment that values proactive healthcare delivery and continuous learning. The salary for this position is pay per patient. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, utilizing your deep knowledge of physiology and medical terminology. Prescribe medications in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe drug administration and documentation. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, and tube feeding management. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and medical records management. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate patient discharge planning. Participate in clinical research initiatives and utilize diagnostic tools such as sonography or laboratory testing to support clinical evaluations. Experience Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors in assisted living or nursing home settings, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Demonstrated proficiency in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience is highly valued. Hands-on experience with telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments and follow-up care. Skilled in performing complex procedures like cardiac catheterization, gastroscopy (gastric lavage), or infectious disease management within acute care settings. Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation; familiarity with utilization review and case management processes is advantageous. Strong background in managing pain through modalities such as acute pain management protocols or pain management experience; familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine is a plus. Experience working within collaborative practice agreements under state laws that empower advanced practice providers to prescribe medications independently or under supervision.
