Job Summary:
    Schedule:
    12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
    • Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations, including obtaining patient histories, ordering labs and diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
    • Uphold excellent bedside manner and create a positive patient experience.
    • Explain medical procedures and plans of care to patients.
    • Responsible for inpatient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.
    • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and reviewing medical histories.
    • Document patient care services in EPIC.
    • Attend departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
    • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinate patient care. Position Requirements
    • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
    • Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.
    • Two (2) years of experience preferred with inpatient medicine and the ability to work independently with critical care patients.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred. A Recruitment Package that Values Your Talent and may include:
