Duke City Primary Care is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Primary Care team in Los Lunas, New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients while practicing comprehensive primary care in a collaborative, supportive environment. You'll care for patients across all stages of life, emphasizing preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and whole-person care. What You'll Do As a Primary Care Provider, you'll deliver comprehensive care focused on prevention, wellness, and long-term health management.Responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and other common primary care diagnoses
- Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices
- Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention and treatment options
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current national certification
- New Mexico PA or NP license
- DEA registration, Controlled Substance license
- BLS certification
- Ability to obtain malpractice coverage Preferred
- Experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities Compensation Competitive compensation with productivity incentives.
Estimated Earnings:
