Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner Las Vegas

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner We are looking for a full time psychiatric nurse practitioner for 40 hours a week or 45 hours a week. It is a combination of conducting TMS sessions from our Las Vegas Office and Spravatto and telemedicine from that same office. TMS training will be conducted on site by our staff. We would like you to be credentialed with Medicaid (and the Medicaid companies) in Nevada and/or Tricare/triwest. If you are not sure, you can apply and we will check for you.

Job Description:

The

PMHNP-BC

is responsible for managing an assigned panel of patients with acute and/or chronic mental illness. The nurse provides primary clinical management for a variety of mental health conditions, including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders and other related conditions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Obtains and documents relevant psychiatric and medical history. Formulates the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, psychiatric examination and clinical findings. Establishes a plan of care to achieve the identified health goals. Prescribes (and administers) psychotropic medications Initiates referrals and/or consultations as appropriate to achieve an interdisciplinary plan of care. Is proactive in identifying potential emergency/crisis situations and providing appropriate interventions. Other duties as assigned.
