Job Description

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urology Oncology The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. This role offers a focused opportunity to provide expert care for patients with Urologic Cancer while also supporting the broader urology practice.
Position Highlights:
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule
  • Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Upon completion of onboarding and training, four 10-hour days may be available.
Responsibilities:
Manage population of patients with urologic cancer including administration of cancer instillation treatments Conduct virtual and in person visits to review test results, discuss treatment options and provide patient education Order and interpret additional diagnostic testing when indicated Collaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high-quality patient care Participate in the rotation for urgent urology add-on visits, which may include cases such as hematuria, elevated PSA, kidney stones, or acute infections Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record
Qualifications:
License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner or physician assistant in New York State Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program Familiarity working in electronic medical records. Epic experience a plus. Collaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and a positive work environment. Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
