Job Description

SUMMARY As a Nurse Practitioner, your clinical skills and superior customer service in providing medical care leads to a positive, effective patient experience. The NP in this role will float to different WorkReady locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care. Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination and diagnostic testing data; develop a diagnosis, initiate treatment and health maintenance plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures; refer patients to collaborating physician, specialist and/or appropriate community services or agencies; prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment Leadership. Provide health education, instruction, guidance and advisement to patients regarding medication and treatment; counsel family members and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs Administrative Duties. Perform administrative functions to include completing insurance and when time permits, medical discharge documentation, providing guidance and teaching to ancillary personnel, communicating with and counseling family members, preparing daily billing sheets. Prepare complete chart entries on patient interactions, writing orders and recording progress notes

  • Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs.
, along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.

14622 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
