Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
CNY Skin Health is seeking a motivated, confident Nurse Practitioner to join our growing, fast-paced dermatology and aesthetics practice. Dermatology experience is strongly preferred, but we are also open to an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong interest in dermatology who is eager to learn and grow with our practice. This is a full-time position for a provider who enjoys a busy clinical environment, values excellent patient care, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of dermatologic conditions while developing a consistent patient panel.
Responsibilities may include:
Complete dermatologic evaluations and focused skin examinations Diagnosis and treatment of common acute and chronic skin conditions Management of acne, rosacea, eczema/atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss, rashes, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other dermatologic conditions Skin cancer screening and evaluation of suspicious lesions Cryotherapy and other in-office dermatologic procedures within the provider's training and scope Biopsies, excisions, and surgical dermatology procedures depending on experience and competency Reviewing pathology and laboratory results and developing appropriate treatment plans Prescribing and managing topical, oral, injectable, and biologic therapies Patient education regarding medications, treatment options, sun protection, prevention, and skin health Accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaboration with clinical staff, pharmacies, laboratories, specialists, and referral providers Participation in the continued growth and development of the practice Qualifications Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license Board certification as an DNP, FNP, ANP, or other appropriate NP specialty Current prescriptive authority and required registrations Dermatology experience strongly preferred Procedural dermatology experience is a plus Aesthetic/injectable or laser experience is a plus Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and patient-education skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently while knowing when consultation or referral is appropriate Strong attention to detail and documentation Professional, reliable, positive, and team-oriented Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is energetic, personable, and genuinely interested in dermatology. Position Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Dermatology Schedule and compensation will be discussed based on experience. Dermatology experience is preferred.
