A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Total Compensation:
$145k-$170k Grow your career alongside experienced urology physicians in a supportive, patient-first practice! We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Urology experience, or a strong new grad ready to learn, to join a well-established, multi-specialty medical group with offices across Long Island and NYC. This is a wonderful opportunity to build your clinical independence while working closely with an experienced urologist mentor.
What You'll Do:
Practice in close collaboration with physicians, with growing independence over time Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care Administer IV and oral medications, manage vascular access devices, and assist with chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration as needed Perform patient assessments, assist with procedures, and document interventions per practice protocol Educate patients and families, connecting them with helpful community resources Support case management for urology patients and their families May mentor newer mid-level providers or oversee clinical support staff Manage side effects and symptoms, contributing to overall treatment planning
What We're Looking For:
MSN from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or PA degree from an accredited program Active RN license (if NP) and current state licensure as an NP or PA Urology experience preferred; backgrounds in Surgery, First Assist, Med-Surg, or OB/GYN also welcomed New grads with strong clinical judgment and a drive to learn are encouraged to apply Comfortable working with a good degree of independence in an outpatient setting
