Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our campus healthcare team. The position provides high quality preventive healthcare services, including treatment of illnesses/injuries, preventive care, and health education using evidence-based clinical decision making and a holistic approach. This is a part-time position with a 90% schedule. Work hours are MondayFriday:
8:30am- 4:30pm: August
- May with July coverage based on business need.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illness Prescribe medications and treatments as clinically indicated Conduct physical examinations and maintain accurate medical records Assess injuries and provide appropriate treatment/referrals Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc.) Deliver health education through multiple platforms and venues, but primarily during office visits Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team, including medical, mental health, case managers, nutrition, accessibility resources, and athletic professionals Participate in continuing professional education Follow established protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations Perform additional duties as assignedEducation & Experience:
Master's degree plus New York State certification as a Nurse Practitioner Minimum 3 years primary care/urgent care experience. Experience in college/university health setting working with student populations preferred. Current BLS and infection control certification Vaccination requirements in compliance withNYS Law and ADA:
two documented MMR and/or titers, completed Hepatitis B series and Annual influenza vaccination. Experience with electronic medical records systemsKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative teamwork Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations Demonstrated ability to present a professional and approachable empathetic demeanor Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.Compensation Range:
$95,000- $115,000 per year
