What you'll do The Nurse Practitioner Graduate - Non-Licensed will function as an NP Resident in all but clinical responsibilities. They may shadow other providers until they obtain their NYS License as a Nurse Practitioner. Go to all sessions of Residency program, during orientation receiving EPIC training and billing training Shadow for patient care will have schedule so that new patients can be seen Help with note writing for the patients they shadowed (acting like a scribe) Once RN license in NYS obtained before NP license will act like a NP student seeing patients and ordering tests (patient seen again by preceptor) Answer non-clinical in basket messages Rooming patients Helping providers with forms Scheduling urgent follow-ups Locating patient data such as external labs needed for visits What we need from you
