Non-exempt/Hourly Job Summary Admits adult patients to the Medical Care Unit and notifies the physician of the admission. Provides medical care and medical orders for hospital and long-term care patients. Arranges for or refers patients for services that cannot be furnished in this facility. Participates in the development, execution and periodic review of policies governing hospital services. Participates with the physicians in a periodic review of patient records. Participates in "on-call" schedule as determined by the Medical Director. Serves on hospital committees and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Attends monthly Quality Assurance meetings for the hospital and LTC. Follows hospital policies and Federal/State regulations regarding patient care, infection control, HIPAA, Corporate Compliance and all other regulations set forth to maintain the integrity of the hospital. Represents the organization in a positive manner at work and in the community. Maintains the goals and mission of the facility. Maintains a collaborating agreement with a physician. Education, Training and Experience Graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program. Currently licensed and registered to practice in New York State.
BLS, ACLS.
Current NYS DEA registration. Infection Control certificate as mandated by NYS. Special Equipment/Skills Evidence of competent clinical skills as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting. Work Environment Hazards Normal heat, light and air. Risk of exposure to disagreeable odors, infections, communicable diseases, strains, and injury from patients and equipment. Work Contact Group Patients, families, hospital staff, physicians, EMS personnel, doctors' office staff. Special Physical Demands Stands and walks. Lifts and transfers patients. Supervises No supervisory responsibilities
Supervised By Medical Director, CEO Pay:
$70.00 - $80.00 per hour
