This full-time, onsite contract position presents an opportunity to make a significant impact by addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school-based setting. What We're Looking For:
Current New York State School Social Worker Certification (NYS Cert for SW) required Experience working in schools or with children/adolescents in educational settings Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, families, and community partners Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies Understanding of IEPs and 504 Plans is highly desirable Compassionate, solution-focused, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and counseling services to students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to coordinate services and resources Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed Advocate for students' well-being and promote a positive, inclusive school culture Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans This is an onsite, full-time contract role requiring your daily presence and commitment to helping students thrive.
