Job Description

Victory Recovery Partners is seeking to hire a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with our team in delivering psychiatric services to our patients. This position is being offered at our Hempstead, NY location. The position offers qualified candidates an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of what is expected to be a successful, growing healthcare practice serving acute medical needs throughout Long Island communities. Hours:
Flexible hours, part-time, 20-29 hours per week. •
DEA LICENSE REQUIRED
•Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one psychiatric evaluations with patients Diagnose and treat patients with mental illnesses contributing to or causing substance use disorders Serve as an educator for patients and their families Conduct one-on-one medication management sessions with patients Coordinate overall patient care with other members of clinical staff and behavioral health staff, this will require attending case conference meetings Conduct group therapy sessions with patients, for topics including but not limited to medication education, addiction and the brain, co-occurring disorders The PMHNP or PA is actively involved with Victory's clinical treatment team in planning services, setting goals, and monitoring patients' progress in our program. Qualifications Demonstrated interest in working within the field of behavioral health treatment for substance use disorders.
DEA LICENSE REQUIRED
Proficiency in clinical documentation and coding Completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Board Certification preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude with a team orientation Strong references.
