- Contract Immediate Hiring | Nurse Practitioner (NP) We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive healthcare services in a correctional healthcare setting.

Monday- Friday | 8:00 AM
- 4:00 PM Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, X-rays, and EKGs Coordinate referrals to outside specialists and healthcare facilities as needed Provide post-hospitalization follow-up and continuity of care Manage and prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Monitor and manage infectious diseases in accordance with DOCCS policies Respond to accommodation requests and provide infirmary care Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies, including OMH Monitor hunger strikes and provide emergency care, including stabilization and splinting of injuries Qualifications Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) License in New York State Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Experience in correctional healthcare, primary care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine preferred Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and chronic disease management is highly desirable Excellent communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills Why Join Us?
