We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in New York. This role involves a Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm schedule, focusing on evaluating and diagnosing patients' gastrointestinal conditions, educating them on care, managing medications, and collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure high-quality care. Responsibilities and Duties Evaluate and diagnose patients' medical and gastrointestinal conditions and coordinate referrals to other specialists when needed. Educate patients and families about preventive care, diagnoses, treatments, and medications. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and provide appropriate medical and emergency interventions. Manage complex or high-priority cases in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Accurately document assessments, diagnoses, treatments, procedures, referrals, outcomes, and patient education in accordance with regulatory and evidence-based standards. Ensure documentation supports accurate coding and billing. Participate in peer and physician review processes and follow quality and clinical care protocols. Collaborate effectively with the broader healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
