Overview:
WOUND CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER - PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

The campus is comprised of a 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details:
Wound Care Advanced Practice Provider Position Summary:
Performs skin rounds within the building, develops skin care program, skin champions and performs PI activities. Provides referrals to the wound care center for patients being discharged with pressure ulcers that need outside care. Provides and manages continuous, medical care service to patients under direct consultation with the Medical Director of Diabetic and Wound Care Center, and in collaboration with the private medical attending as indicated. Responds to the requests of the nursing staff as required to ensure patient care and safety. NP must be certified in wound care and maintain current collaborative practice agreement with the Medical Director of the center.
Wound Care Advanced Practice Provider Qualifications:
Successful completion of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited school required. NYS Certified RN - NP (Nurse Practitioner) or NYS Certified PA (Physician Assistant). Trained in adult medicine, the Wound Care Certification required.
ACLS & BLS
certified. Recent patient case management experience in wound care and diabetes; hospital experience preferred. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care needed.
Posted Salary Range:
USD $71.98 - USD $93.00 /Hr. : This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
