Job Description We are actively hiring experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to provide behavioral health services within long-term care, skilled nursing, and post-acute care environments across Tompkins County and nearby regions. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians seeking to work with a medically complex geriatric population while building a highly rewarding and flexible practice with strong income potential and long-term career growth. Qualifications:
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Active and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license DEA registration or ability to obtain Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment Prior experience in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred Experience managing dementia-related behaviors, chronic psychiatric conditions, and complex medication regimens is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable practicing in nursing home and long-term care environments
