Our team combines the fast-paced environment of urgent care with the mission-driven work of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), supporting patients through acute illness, injury, and their recovery journey. If you're an experienced ER provider looking for meaningful per diem work in a less intense but equally rewarding setting, we'd love to connect. Position Overview We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive patient care in our urgent care and outpatient addiction treatment setting. This per diem role is ideal for ER-trained providers seeking flexible shifts (3-5 per month) in a supportive, mission-driven environment where clinical expertise meets compassionate recovery support.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Care:
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for acute illness and injury Formulate treatment plans based on patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic procedures Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs) as clinically indicated Perform procedures within scope of practice (laceration repair, I&D, splinting, etc.) Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations
Urgent Care Services:
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute medical concerns Manage minor emergencies and injuries Provide appropriate patient education and discharge planning Collaborate with specialists for referrals when necessary
Addiction Treatment Support:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients seeking MAT services Prescribe and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (Suboxone/buprenorphine) within scope and DEA-X waiver guidelines Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals in recovery Monitor treatment adherence and adjust care plans as needed Work collaboratively with behavioral health team
Documentation & Collaboration:
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and support staff to ensure quality care Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulations Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed Required Qualifications Current Ohio license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (if NP) OR Physician Assistant degree from an accredited PA program Active certification by a nationally recognized certifying organization (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) DEA license (or willingness to obtain) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification Demonstrates clinical skill and judgment necessary to provide urgent care and addiction treatment services Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse patient populations Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of Emergency Department experience (highly preferred) DEA-X waiver or willingness to obtain for prescribing buprenorphine/Suboxone Experience in urgent care, family medicine, or addiction medicine Experience with MAT, SBIRT, or behavioral health integration Familiarity with Experity EMR or similar urgent care platforms Comfort treating diverse patient populations including those with substance use disorders Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written proficiency preferred) What We Offer Competitive compensation: $70
