Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse populations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in outpatient clinics, urgent care settings, and community health environments, providing primary care services with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and acute and chronic illness management. As an FNP, you will utilize your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, ensuring they receive exceptional care in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Duties Monitors progress of and intervenes in the course of chronic illnesses, using protocols for guidance Inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases & prescribes medications or administers treatment of acute and chronically ill patients & performs minor surgery as training & competency allows Performs routine physical exams of patients to determine control or status of chronic conditions & diagnoses new conditions Evaluates patients for the necessity of specialty referral consultations inside or outside the institution & reviews said consult reports for the recommendations, approving or disapproving accordingly Orders & reviews the results of laboratory, x-ray, & other diagnostic testing as appropriate With the acilitates the completion of medical reclassification & requests for non-formulary medications as necessary Performs routine & emergency medical care of patients as scheduled Conducts rounds on infirmary patients as deemed appropriate Writes up medical information gathered during patient interviews according to policies, protocols & related American Correctional Association standards currently in practice, documenting all assessments & diagnostic impressions, as well as any other treatment plans & follow-up parameters Cooperates medical quality oversight & accept suggestions, redirection, and guidance
Pay:
