Job Description
QUICKmed Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality healthcare services in a school and community center-based setting . The ideal candidate will have strong primary care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and a passion for educating patients and promoting healthy lifestyles. School-based healthcare experience is a plus. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, school/community staff, patients, and families to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patients' medical histories and records. Order, interpret, and follow up on appropriate diagnostic testing, including laboratory tests and imaging. Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and infectious health conditions. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical guidelines. Monitor patients' overall health and progress. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation. Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices. Promote preventive healthcare and wellness. Recognize when patients require additional evaluation, specialty care, or emergency services and make appropriate referrals. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and community partners. Stay current with advances in healthcare, clinical practices, and applicable regulations. Participate in professional development, research, and ongoing clinical education as appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Current and valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the applicable state. Master's degree required; doctoral degree is a plus. Proven clinical experience in a clinic, hospital, emergency department, urgent care, or similar healthcare setting. Strong experience in primary care, including the management of acute and chronic conditions. Experience with preventive healthcare and patient education. Experience in a school-based or community healthcare setting is strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, families, and diverse populations. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and patient care practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Professional, ethical, patient-focused approach to care. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Commitment to continued professional growth and development.
