A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Come join our team as a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Community Health Services
  • 2221 Hayes Avenue in Fremont. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, compassionate NP, who enjoys caring for a diverse population of patients
  • including both adults and children. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience. $130,000 base salary, no RVU's and paid malpractice insurance. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, our providers are eligible to apply for student loan repayment through National Health Service Corps (NHSC
  • up to $75,000 for full-time employees.
Other benefits include paid vacation, sick time, and retirement benefits.
What You'll Do:
Work directly with patients Monday through Friday
  • No Weekends Perform Adult and Pediatric Mental Health Assessments Communicate clearly with Providers, Patients, and CHS Staff Follow all safety, HIPAA, and regulatory guidelines
What We're Looking For:
Current License to practice in the State of Ohio as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Current Basic Life Support Certification Minimum of two years as a Psychiatric NP preferred Knowledge of documenting with EHR
  • eCW experience a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task Ability to critically think and problem solve Reliable, professional, and compassionate
