Job Description
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant QUICKmed Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care by diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions while promoting wellness and disease prevention. As an advanced practice provider, you will play an important role in evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and supporting their overall health. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, so a collaborative approach, positive attitude, and strong communication skills are essential. Responsibilities Examine patients and review medical histories and records. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and X-rays. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions. Develop appropriate treatment plans for infectious and chronic diseases. Prescribe medications in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices. Monitor patients' overall health and provide appropriate follow-up care. Promote wellness and preventive healthcare practices. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay current with advances in healthcare, clinical practices, and evidence-based medicine. Participate in professional development, continuing education, and research as appropriate.
Hours of Operation Monday-Friday:
8:00 AM-8:00PM Saturday-Sunday:
9:00 AM-6:00 PM Qualifications & Skills Current, valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. Proven experience as an NP or PA in an urgent care, clinic, hospital, emergency department, primary care, or similar setting. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in primary care, acute care, and chronic care. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: acute care, pediatrics, family health, women's health, cardiology, neonatal care, or psychiatry. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of applicable healthcare and patient-care regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ethical standards and professional judgment. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Compassionate, patient-focused approach with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continued professional development and clinical education. Master's degree in an appropriate field required; doctoral degree is a plus.
