Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, perform detailed patient assessments, and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and telehealth platforms. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult populations. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions such as infectious diseases, gastrointestinal issues, pain management, behavioral health concerns, and geriatric syndromes. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, and tube feeding management. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Meditech or Medent to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with physicians, specialists (e.g., gastroenterology, ophthalmology), therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance clinical outcomes and uphold healthcare standards such as NCQA or HIPAA compliance. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations across multiple settings including hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/critical care units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (e.g., sonography), CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate medical documentation. Skilled in performing complex procedures such as venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, airway management, catheter care, and gastrostomy tube feeding. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for seamless documentation and data management. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching strategies and medication administration while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or trauma units. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine principles is a plus for specialized patient populations. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
