Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current NP or PA licensure Board certification or board eligibility Strong interest in orthopedic care and musculoskeletal medicine Comfortable practicing in a rural community setting Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical environment Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and community-oriented Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a well-established, provider-centric Sports Medicine and Orthopedics clinic in rural Eastern Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of three full-time physicians and two allied health professionals in a supportive, patient-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values autonomy, teamwork, and a high quality of life, with a predictable schedule and no after-hours call requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive orthopedic physical exams and patient assessments Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries Perform in-office procedures including joint injections, aspirations, splinting, and casting Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs, and related studies) Develop and implement non-surgical treatment plans and post-operative recovery protocols Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care Educate patients on injury prevention, treatment options, and rehabilitation strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $140,000 - $142,500+ Quality incentives up to $12,500 $20,000 commencement bonus $8,000 annual CME allowance (includes licensing, dues, subscriptions, and CME time) Student loan repayment options Full benefits package including 401(k) with employer match Paid malpractice/professional liability coverage Relocation assistance No after-hours call This role is ideal for a provider seeking a balanced lifestyle, meaningful clinical work, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative orthopedic team in a scenic, outdoor-oriented community.Similar jobs in La Grande, OR
