We are seeking a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)to support our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Carlisle, PA.
Shift:
Flexible 7.5 hours/week (onsite and in the community) supporting Perry and Cumberland County, PA Pay Rate $58.86-$67.00/hr(depending on experience)
Position Details:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive mental health care to patients living with chronic mental illness. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with our care team to diagnose and manage patients' mental health concerns. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide services in the community.
Other duties include:
Conducting psychiatric patient evaluations to determine medication needs, documenting evaluations and interactions with the patient in the electronic health record. Prescribing pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances, monitoring progress and making necessary changes to patients' medications. Facilitating direct patient admissions into hospitals when needed. Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans.

Minimum one year of experience in community mental health preferred.
The ideal candidate will posses:
Experience with integrated health preferred. Experience in crisis intervention, urgent care, or emergency psychiatric settings is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
