Job Description

Job Summary AFC Urgent Care Southampton, a UCA-accredited urgent care clinic is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate is comfortable seeing patients of all ages and working independently as a sole provider. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Responsibilities Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies Ability to interpret EKGs and give preliminary X-ray results Experience with suturing, wound care, I&D, and small procedures a must Ensure proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of minor illnesses and injuries Ability to work independently as a sole provider with the assistance of a Medical Assistant Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management, and treatment Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Per-Diem Position | Weekday shifts 8am
  • 8pm | Weekend Shifts 8am
  • 5pm Qualifications ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified
  • (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred) Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required BLS Certification DOT Certification preferred or willing to obtain Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family Professional appearance and attitude Company Overview American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.
